Our Project
Our project objectives are:
- to reduce the amount of waste generated in tourist cities
- to empower marginalized and low-income people by creating for them self-employment and entrepreneurship opportunities
- to revitalize old handcraft skills and professions
Our project activities are:
- train marginalized and low income groups on how to transform waste into new products
- provide marginalized and low income groups with business skills for the set up and running of small business
- to create a network of ecologic hotels, bar and restaurants willing to donate their waste.
We will first implement the project in two cities in Spain and Italy, the European countries with the highest tourism rate and then replicate it in other European cities.
